The king in hades

When I used to rule over Israel as a king, the Lord had blessed me with so much glory, that “He placed my enemies as a stool for my feet”(psalm 110). I am David, and my kingdom lasted seventy years, though I know that the eternal kingdom is yet to come, together with its eternal king. Ever since I’m trapped in this place, along with thousands of souls, anticipating His arrival. Adam and Eve and all the prophets and righteous men who ever lived on earth, we all are waiting... “but my trust is in you, O Lord(psalm 31:14) for you will not leave my soul in hell”(psalm 16:10). There is much darkness around us, yet it is the most luminous place in hades. The doors are shut and locked, keeping us safe from the demons.

Suddenly, a loud voice breaks the silence. “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near!”(matthew 3:2) “Is this the Messiah?” some of us asked. No! it's “the voice of one shouting in the wilderness!”(John 1:23), said Isaiah aloud, “he is the one I wrote about!”. “Prepare the way for the Lord, make his paths straight!”(Mark 1:3) shouted the prophet, as we all gathered up to listen to his speech. “People of hades, listen up!”, he shouted, “the Messiah has come and this is the proof! The blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.” (Matthew 11:5) My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him!”(psalm 28:7) Is He finally coming down here to save us!? Great joy and excitement have filled the room, just as it is written! “In the place of the dead there is excitement over your arrival. The spirits of world leaders and mighty kings long dead stand up to see you. (Isaiah 14:9).

A shining light in the shape of a cross just appeared in the surface. “It is the Messiah!” everyone said and looked up, “Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”, we cried out with tears in our eyes. He is coming surrounded by his holy angels and every knee bows down before him(Romans 14:11). That’s when it hit me: This was His plan, from the very beginning...

“Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!”(paschal troparion)

5 Reasons why Greek is the Mother of Languages

5 Reasons why Greek is the Mother of Languages 1. Greek is everywhere The Greek and Chinese language, are the only languages with a continuative vivid presence, from the same people and the same ground for 4.000 years. All the languages are considered as "crypto-greek", which have borrowed abundantly from the Mother of languages. Greek. (Francisco Adrados, spanish Linguist) The english language is to 12-15% of greek origin. Even 10% of the spanish language is greek. Greek has played a huge role in the development of the european languages. Greek is the language of science and medicine. “ The Greek is the perfect language. Often one finds that a thought can be made with ease and grace in Greek, but is difficult and heavily in Latin, English, French or German. It is the perfect language because it expresses the thoughts in the best people." G. Murray (Professor of Greek Language at Oxford University) Here some quotes by great individuals about the Greek language: Voltai...
